TASK

Your role as the City Forester will be to convince the city government that your program is crucial to the vitality of the community, both economically and ecologically.  Your mission will be to gather as much information and evidence from the provided resources to support your case.  It will be your responsibility to organize the information you gather in an orderly fashion that can easily be presented to the city council.  Types of information to gather will include the economic benefits of trees relative to reducing storm water run-off, reducing concentrations of air and water pollutants, reducing energy budgets for both commercial and residential areas, and increasing property values.  Be prepared to argue your case before the city council.

City parks serve as green space in congested metropolitan  areas.

Trees are a necessary asset, not a dreaded liability.
